Coming HomeI can’t believe how quickly the summer has been speeding by! I have been teaching group classes, private classes and workshops and loving it! It’s been wonderful to see the growth of my students artwork! And, of course, I have been doing lots of painting!

This painting below, Azaleas, is a commission piece of my collector’s back yard. What a beautiful piece of property they have!

Pastel En Perigord

Le Musée du Pastel de Saint-Aulaye

July 4th – Sept. 2

Pastel En Perigord is a beautiful exhibit in The Museum of Pastel in Saint-Aulaye, France. I, along with 4 other American pastel artists, were invited to exhibit 3 paintings. Unfortunately, I am unable to travel to France to see it. I feel so honored to be part of this show and to have been awarded “Prix pour la technique“ for “Coming Home” which included a big box of Girault pastels!

The July ’18 issue of Pratique Des Arts, a French Art Magazine, features numerous articles of wonderful pastels artists. Here’s a photo of my page. Thank goodness for Google Translate to understand what was written!

I am now booking workshops for 2019 and 2020. If interested in having me come to teach with your pastel society or art center, please email me: nancy@nancynowak.com
